Claude training for teams, hands-on, on your own work
In one day with James McAulay, your team connects Claude to the tools they already use and builds agents that take real work off their week.
Claude and Claude Code · In person or online · 10 to 200 people · No coding needed
Led by James McAulay, ex-ElevenLabs and founder of Encore (acquired by Mixcloud).
James has trained 500+ people from 200+ companies:
Who this is for
Teams of 10 to 200 on Claude
Companies that already pay for Claude, or have picked it, and want people doing more with it than asking questions.
Engineering teams
Developers who want Claude Code on the real codebase, with the rest of the company or as a group of their own.
Fewer than 10 people
The live four-week Agent Accelerator cohort suits a small group better, and teams often follow it with a workshop for everyone else. See the curriculum.
What Claude does once it can see your work
Most teams use Claude like a search engine. Once it is connected to their tools, it can do the work itself. Real examples from Connectd and Huggg:
Your tools
Gmail
Google Calendar
Google Drive
Slack
HubSpot
Notion

Claude, set up for you
A second brain that tells it who you are and how you work, with each tool connected read-only to start.
What it does
- Lists the leads that need chasing, in Slack, every morningHead of Customer and Startup, Connectd
- Joins two databases through a custom MCP serverHead of Customer and Startup, Connectd
- Writes a decisions log into Notion every morningHead of Brand and Content, Connectd
- Reads the thread and the deal before it drafts a replyAccount Executive, Huggg
What Claude training covers
There is one Claude to learn now. Cowork merged into it in September 2026, so the agent work happens in an ordinary conversation. The day covers what makes that useful at work:
- A second brain: the files that tell Claude who you are, how you work and what good looks like
- Connectors to Gmail, Google Drive, Slack, your CRM and whatever else the team lives in
- Security and permissions, so people know what to connect, what to keep read-only and what to keep out
- Skills, the reusable instructions for jobs your team does every week
- Agents that run on a schedule with nobody at the keyboard, on the two-day format
Claude Code training for teams
James recommends that everyone gets into Claude Code, not only the engineers. Non-technical people pick it up faster than they expect.
| Where it works | In the Claude app, on the web, desktop and phone | On your computer, directly on your files |
|---|---|---|
| Good for | Everyday jobs across the tools you connect | Bigger jobs, and writing small tools for itself when a task needs one |
| Who it suits | Anyone who would rather stay in the app | Everyone who wants to go further, engineers included |
Engineers go further in the same room
Developers get Claude Code working on the real codebase while everyone else builds. At one bootcamp a developer built an MCP server for the company’s own platform before the day was out.
For individuals rather than teams, there is a self-paced course, Claude Code for Builders.
A Claude workshop day
The one-day format. The half day keeps the set-up and builds one agent; the two-day bootcamp adds scheduled agents and more Claude Code.
Intake
Your tools, your Claude plan and the tasks that eat the week.
Set Claude up
Second brain, connectors, permissions and skills.
Build
One agent each, on a real task, in Claude or Claude Code.
Demos
Everyone shows the room their agent working.
Roadmap
James writes up what each person should build next.
Three ways to run it
All three are hands-on, on your own tools, and run in person or online. James recommends in person: with everyone in one room, people get further, faster.
Half-day Claude workshop
The quickest way to get a department past the search-box stage. Each person connects one tool and builds one agent.
- In person or online
- Up to 50 people
One-day Claude workshop
The day above: set-up in the morning, a working agent each by the afternoon, demos to close.
- In person or online
- A second facilitator above 30 people
Two-day Claude bootcamp
The first day as above. The second gets everyone into Claude Code and onto agents that run on a schedule. A week between the two lets people try their agents on real work first.
- Days can be split across in person and online
- For a whole company
Book a scoping call“I had one team member who went from using an LLM as a search function or summarising text or emails, to building custom MCPs within four weeks. Which is insane.”

Taught by James McAulay
James teaches every workshop himself and builds with Claude and Claude Code every day. Before this he led creator growth at ElevenLabs and spent ten years running Encore, which sold to Mixcloud. The reviews here come from the Agent Accelerator, the four-week cohort he also runs.

Claude training questions, answered
How much does Claude training for a team cost?
It’s quoted per workshop, based on how many people and which format. Book a 20-minute scoping call and James sends a quote.
Who teaches Claude Code to teams in the UK?
James McAulay. He runs Claude Code workshops for teams at your office anywhere in the UK, or online, with engineers and non-engineers in the same room. For individuals, he teaches it on the self-paced Claude Code for Builders course.
How is Claude used in business?
For the repeat jobs that eat time. Three examples from teams James has trained: a list of leads to chase, posted in Slack every morning (Connectd); a decisions log written into Notion every day (Connectd); an agent that reads the email thread and the HubSpot deal before drafting a reply (Huggg).
Is there free Claude training?
Yes. Anthropic Academy’s courses are free and self-paced, and they are the best way to learn what each feature does. Book a workshop when you want your team’s own tools connected and agents built in a day, with help in the room.
Does anyone need to code?
No. Most people in the room are not engineers, and sales, ops and finance people use Claude Code too.
Claude or Claude Code?
Both work. James recommends Claude Code for everyone because it can do more: it works on the files on your computer and can write small tools for itself. If your team prefers the Claude app, the workshop runs there instead, and one room can mix the two.
We are new to Claude. Is it still right for us?
Yes. All anyone needs is a Claude login. The morning covers setup before anyone builds, and James helps each person in the room, with a second facilitator above 30 people.
What is a second brain?
A few files that tell Claude about you: your role, how you write, who you work with and your rules. Claude reads them before each task, so you stop repeating yourself. Everyone writes theirs in the morning session.
What happened to Claude Cowork?
It merged into Claude in September 2026. Long tasks, documents and scheduled work now happen in a normal Claude conversation, and the workshop teaches Claude as it is today.
Which Claude plan does our team need?
Everyone needs their own Claude account. Features differ by plan, so James checks yours on the scoping call and sets the exercises to match.
What does each person end up with?
Claude set up with their own context and connected to their tools, at least one working agent for a real task from their week, and a written roadmap of what to build next.
Is our data safe?
The workshop covers security and permissions first, and tools are connected read-only to start. How Anthropic handles your data depends on your Claude plan and settings, so bring whoever owns IT to the scoping call.
How long is it, and for how many people?
Half a day for up to 50 people, or one or two days for 10 to 200. Every format runs in person or online, and James recommends in person, because people get further, faster. Above 30 people a second facilitator joins him.
Is there a certificate?
Yes. Everyone who completes a workshop gets a certificate of completion. CPD accreditation for the one-day workshop is in progress.
Do you cover tools other than Claude?
Yes. You connect whatever your team uses, such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, Slack and your CRM. If your company runs on ChatGPT, the workshop runs in ChatGPT for work and Codex instead. Every format is on the team workshops page.
